Michael Bruce Garnet Gordon

Senior Partner

Michael Bruce Garnet Gordon formed a new firm of Gordon, Gordon & Co. in 1973 with his father and his uncle. From 1975 to 2003, he was the Managing Partner of the firm, after which he was appointed as Judge of Court of Appeal. He has also acted as Chief Justice. Presently, he has returned to private practice.

Leslie Prospere

Senior Partner

Leslie Prospere has enjoyed a diverse practice which includes general civil practice and litigation in areas such as commercial law, banking law including matters of regulatory compliance, family law, protection and occupation orders, public and administrative law and more.

Leslie Prospere is a Partner at Gordon Gordon & Co. Leslie has a Bachelors of Law degree from the University of London and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. He was called to the Bar in Saint Lucia in 2002 and has since enjoyed a diverse practice which includes general civil practice and litigation in areas such as commercial law, banking law including matters of regulatory compliance, tort law including negligence, nuisance, defamation and personal injury, family law including divorce and ancillary relief and protection and occupation orders, public and administrative law (as state counsel for 4 years) and thereafter in private practice, including providing representation to a senior civil servant during the course of a Commission of Inquiry; and criminal law where he has acted as defence counsel in both summary and indictable matters and, with the consent of the Director of Public Prosecutions, has prosecuted certain summary matters.

Leslie previously undertook a two year clerkship for Sir Dennis Byron, the former Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court during which time he also worked closely with other appellate judges of the court. Leslie also served as the project coordinator for the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court Pilot Project for the establishment of the Criminal Division of the High Court and has sat on numerous statutory boards and committees.

Shannon Danille Chitolie is a Partner at Gordon, Gordon & Co. Shannon has Bachelors of Law degree from the University of Wolverhampton in 2006 and was called to the bar in England and Wales through Middle Temple Inn in July 2008. He was called to the Bar in Saint Lucia in 2010 and subsequently made Junior Partner at Gordon Gordon & Co. in 2015.

Vilan R. A. Edward

Vilan R. A. Edward has undertaken and or assisted in a number of legal matters ranging from conveyancing, succession, bank law, personal injuries and running down actions to name a few.

Vilan has a Bachelors of Law degree from the University of the West Indies (Cavehill Campus) and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. He was called to the Bar in Saint Lucia in October 2015 and has since then undertaken and or assisted in a number of legal matters ranging from conveyancing, succession, bank law, personal injuries and running down actions to name a few.

At the University of the West Indies, Vilan held the post of Constitutional Chairperson of the Saint Lucia Student’s Association at Cavehill which is an organization that sets out to assist and foster unity amongst the Saint Lucian students at the campus. Vilan is also a sports enthusiast and has represented his country in the volleyball arena on several occasions.
